Web order engine for complex products

in development

With Solon© a Web page is turned into a full blown order placement application. Like with a desktop program, user input is collected in a concise, comfortable way and processed instantly. Without painful load times as for Java applets, without lengthy HTML forms, with a degree of flexibility and user friendlyness rarely seen on the Web. Unbeatable implementation speed, ease of maintenance and built in customer data management are additional helpful features.

Solon allows to easily generate complex, interactive Web applications for processing custom tailored offers. Solon Web-enables complex questionnaires and parameter dependend products, e.g. for financial services. An actual dialogue with the customer is established, making customer input straight forward, as any superfluous questions are suppressed in real-time.

A virtual processor is used to distinguish relevant from irrelevant questions, observing the actual context. The calculation of this is based on internal examination of the product scripts, the script's writer need not bother with it at all.

Solon can be used to equip sales forces' laptops, B-to-C or B-to-B Web sites, and public terminals. Product development departments benefit from the employment of the Solon system, since new products can be tested and modifications of existing products can be simulated, with minimal effort.

By an entirely generic approach with a simple, specialized scripting language (Basic style) and specialized data base format, development times for highly complex products are reduced to two to five days. These are empiric values from the off line version of the product, that has been used in the insurance sector for years. Glitches of the sales force or the customer's input are detected immediately and can be recovered instantly. Dilligence work load for the back office is reduced and liability risks are eliminated as the system can be programmed to make sure that obligatory information is served by automated hints.
